Claudia Marie is a young and upcoming singer and songwriter based in Brooklyn, creating vulnerable bedroom pop rooted in emotional honesty and fun. Her music presents an intricate balance of candid, diary-style lyrics, alongside upbeat, distinctive melodic production that feels real, and personal, without being too heavy. There is a natural ease to her writing that makes her songs feel like thoughts put to music rather than performances put on for an audience.
Claudia finds most of her inspiration in other songwriters who center storytelling and emotional clarity in their projects. Her main influences are other pop artists Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Reneé Rapp, Olivia Rodrigo, Alessi Rose. Like these artists, Claudia approaches songwriting as a way to make sense of her inner world. She pulls from everyday moments, shifting relationships, and the hyper-dramatic everything that comes with growing up. Through her lyrical styling and production, her music puts forward a careful balance of depth and vulnerability along with a sense of lightness, capturing those feelings of longing, self-reflection, excitement, & youth without losing their edge.
Claudia is currently a student at LaGuardia High School, where she studies drama, all while continuing to develop her voice and confidence as a songwriter and performer. She focuses on writing music that feels honest to where she is now instead of rushing to try to fit any pre-built mold. Before her upcoming project, Claudia independently released two early tracks, both small but hugely important steps that marked the beginning of her journey as an artist. Those releases gave her space to experiment, learn, and gain confidence in her songwriting, laying the groundwork for her success. Now, she is preparing to release her debut EP, her first fully realized body of work and a more intentional introduction to her world.
Claudia’s songwriting comes from all aspects of her world, from real situations she has overcome, TV characters she feels connected to, to seeing a random object on the wall and creating a story around it. Claudia has always written her lyrics with a lot of consideration and patience, making sure that the message she is trying to convey comes across clear as day. Even before she knew how to strum a guitar, or play a note on the piano, she was writing songs in her head. Music is an escape for her to understand herself and the world better and she is thrilled that she gets to share it with the world.
